After brief introductions of some invited guests, attendees will be given an opportunity to meet and mingle in a relaxed atmosphere. Cocktails and light appetizers will be provided. Reconnect with peers, review experiences, seek info and advice, network. Duration: about half-an-hour.

3. Round Table Discussions

Attendees will break into groups to explore issues surrounding affordable housing. Our invited guests will provide background and expertise on specific efforts in Marin.

Invited Guest: Cynthia Swan, Housing Locator / Specialist at the Marin Housing Authority, will discuss the programs which provide housing for voucher recipients who are currently in supportive housing and ready to live independently.

The Marin Housing Authority assists low and moderate-income residents of Marin County to secure and maintain high quality affordable housing.

Invited Guest: Mark Shotwell, Executive Director at the Ritter Center, will provide an introduction to housing related programs and services at the Ritter Center.

Ritter Center strives to provide comprehensive, integrated and culturally sensitive health and social services for individuals and families who are homeless or low-income.

Invited Guest: Andre Shashaty, a writer and advocate on housing issues for almost 40 years, will provide perspective on the supply-side of our housing situation.

Andre has written hundreds of articles and two books on the housing crisis. He has in-depth knowledge of San Francisco Bay Area communities and real estate markets, as well as land use regulations and planning practices.
